Secrets to MAXIMIZE Your TeachersPayTeachers Purchases!

Sorry, it's been a minute since I've blogged. With an upcoming sale on TeachersPayTeachers, I could not resist sharing some secrets to maximizing your purchases on this awesome and life-changing website!

I can guarantee that every good teacher has spent at least some dough on TeachersPayTeachers. I mean, how could we not??? It’s a HUGE timesaver for lesson planning - why reinvent something already made? You are getting resources that, in most cases, have been tried and true in other classrooms and align with your state’s specific content standards. You are also helping other teachers by putting a little extra money in their pockets. Besides, we do enough work for free!

As a long-time buyer, and short-time seller, I’ve learned some strategies that can get you the most bang for your buck. Here are some hints to maximize the value of your TPT purchases:

1. Check for updates on your already purchased resources.

You can do this first by clicking here - this will bring you to the "My Purchases" page of your TeachersPayTeachers account. On the top right corner of that page, click "Sort By - Recently Updated.” Now you can see if anything with errors has been tweaked or if your favorite resource has been enhanced since purchasing. You do not need to repurchase these products, as you can re-download them for free!!!

2. Leave reviews on resources you love!

When you leave a review on a purchase, TPT will credit your account for future purchases. You get 5 cents for every $1 you review and you can use these credits for any store at any time. This is a quick and easy way to make some extra spending money for future resources, PLUS, you are helping teacher sellers boost their shops in the process! Win-win for all! 3. If you can swing it, invest in bundles.

Are any of your favorite purchases part of a larger bundle? Go back to the resource’s page and see by scrolling down under the product description. Here, you can purchase a group of resources of the same caliber, unit, or content from the same seller. This will save you even more time and money. 4. Follow your fave sellers!

You’ll be the first to know about new products, so this is beneficial if there are content-specific sellers you’ve enjoyed resources from. Most sellers also write a “Note to Followers” weekly. While the purpose of this is to inform you of their resources and other updates, many will let you know of upcoming sales for their store or a TPT sitewide sale.
